For developing economy and industrial growth, the population need constant mineral wealth. Many are recyclable, but there is tremendous demand that keep rising constantly. So we really need to keep searching for new discoveries. Now the focus is turning to Ocean bed mining, new techniques will come and we can exploit ocean beds that has enriched and segregated/ separated minerals. Only the human should not exploit it too much to cause environmental imbalance.
It is the need for survival in a decent way with a roof to live, vehicles for fast paced movement, gadgets for communication, chemical fertilizer for agriculture and weapons for defence. These drive us to search for minerals.

Reply: It is the need for survival in a decent way that drives us to search for minerals. People need a decent house to live, vehicles on road air and sea for fast paced movement, electronic gadgets for communication, chemical fertilizer for agriculture, chemicals for medicine and weapons for defence. These necessities drive us to search for minerals.
